The area around Bed and Breakfast Artichaud is excellent for cycling. You will discover nice views: walled medieval bastide towns, beautiful villages amidst the Gaillac wineyards, the Grésigne forest with interesting birds and wildlife, the Aveyron canyon. The landscape is varied, with soft slopes. In case you are used to cycling on lowlands only, you'll have to plan for some more effort: here, the altitude varies from 100 to a maximum of 350 meter, which is affordable for most people.
Cyclists and mountain bikers will appreciate the many sign-posted circuits. Two circuits pass at 500 yards from our eco-friendly guest house : C5 «Bastides et Vignobles» and C8 «Autour de la Grésigne et des gorges de l’Aveyron». However, there is only local traffic on the small country roads, so you can easily plan other cycle trips.
You are welcome to consult our maps, or download the leaflets from the regional tourist office in Gaillac. Your cycle can be parked safely in the courtyard of our environment-friendly guest house. Our breakfast and delicious dinner - both with organic food - will provide you with the calories needed for your cycling trip.
Bicycles can be rented and - if needed - repaired in Gaillac.
